About Organizers

Head Organizer - Timothy Nguyen

Timothy Nguyen is a Grade 12 student looking to pursue engineering in his post-secondary future. Besides watching tyler1 on Twitch.tv, Timothy likes to workout in his free time whether it's at the community centre or at the gym. As well, Timothy enjoys making healthy meals at home and playing the piano.

Co-organizer - Naomi Jung

Naomi Jung is a grade 11 student at Holy Cross Regional High School. She is a co-founder of the Holy Cross Model United Nations Club and an active member of the Environment and Social Justice clubs. As a high level Irish dancer, she has competed at the North American Championships of Irish Dance numerous times. During her spare time she enjoys baking and is passionate about working to make the world a better place.

Co-organizer - Adrian Wu

Part time child, part time adult; Adrian is a Grade 12 student developing in that grey area inbetween called “puberty,” and no, it’s not a phase. When not reaching impossible levels of anxiety, he enjoys reading, going for long walks, and staying single by choice (just not his choice). TEDxVancouverCollege made him come out of his tiny room and socialize with strangers - a poor decision on hs part. Now, between cramming for tests and handing in 10 different university applications at once, he organizes a TEDx event.

Co-organizer - Oscar Yu

Oscar Yu is a designer living in Richmond, BC. He began teaching himself graphic and website design at the age of 11. Fast forward six years, Oscar is now a visual designer and an aspiring software engineer. He specializes in branding, identity design, and interface design with visuals. He is leading the website, branding material, and stage production for TEDxVancouver College. Outside of work, he is a huge Vancouver Canucks fan and loves to watch sports. He also does design work for a mobile application, as well as other non-profit organizations in his community.
